S.K., Japan agree to further cooperate on terror during World Cup

South Korea and Japan on Tuesday agreed to continue close cooperation in preventing terrorism during the May 31st June 30th soccer World Cup to be co-hosted by the two neighboring countries. The agreement came at a meeting here between Yoon Jee-joon, ambassador for counter-terrorism, and his Japanese counterpart Hiroshi Shigeta. During the meeting, the two anti-terrorism ambassadors praised each other for their recent cooperation regarding several issues, including hooliganism. In particular, both sides agreed to hold similar meetings twice a year to further strengthen their anti-terrorism cooperation in the international arena.
