2 Tln Earmarked for Developing Science/Engineering Talents

A total of two-trillion won will be spent in the development and support of science and engineering talents. Six government agencies will be spearheading the project.
The Ministry of Science, Education and Technology said at its National Science & Technology Council (NSTC) steering committee on December 23rd that it has fixed an implementation plan for the project.
The plan includes improving university education in science and engineering, fostering key research personnel, and increasing international exchanges.
The current plan regarding the science and engineering talents is scheduled to conclude in 2010. Accordingly the ministry plans to establish a second-round plan for 2011-2015.
