The government has announced a comprehensive five-year plan intended to develop technologies related to food, agriculture, forestry and fisheries.

The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said Wednesday that it has devised a plan to connect, for the first time, all the research and development projects related to the areas, thereby making their direction consistent.

A total of five-point-nine trillion won will be spent to implement the plan.

In particular, the ministry says it will focus on supporting the development of new technologies for the biotechnological industry and to increase the added value of the agriculture and fishing industries.
