"Seoul Snow Jam" will be held at Gwanghwamun Square in downtown Seoul from Friday through Sunday.

Seoul City said Friday that about 120 people including world-famous snow boarders will attend an opening ceremony set for six p.m. Friday.

A temporary jump slope, measuring 34 meters in height and 100 meters in length, has been built at the square to serve as the main site for the event.

The event will be aired in more than 100 countries through 12 broadcasters, including U.S. sports cable channel ESPN and Japan's Fuji TV.
