Champion weightlifter Jang Mi-ran has claimed her fourth straight world championship title in record-setting fashion.

Jang on Saturday bettered her world mark by one kilogram in the clean and jerk with 187 kilograms, and 136 kilograms in the snatch for a combined 323 kilograms at the World Weightlifting Championships in Seoul's northern suburb of Goyang.

She won two gold medals in the women’s super heavyweight division and a silver in the snatch.

Jang has dominated the super heavyweight division since 2005, becoming the third woman to win four consecutive world titles. She also claimed a gold in last year's Beijing Summer Olympics.
