The Rural Development Administration has developed a robot that can automatically control the interval and amount of milk given to calves based on their weight and nutritional conditions.

The administration expects the robot, named the “calf nanny,” will help farmers raise calves more efficiently.

Until now, cow farmers have generally fed calves twice a day regardless of specific nutritional needs, which the administration says has resulted in growth issues and malnutrition.
