South Korea has failed to advance to the semifinals of the FIFA under-17 World Cup.

The team lost to Nigeria 3-1 in a quarterfinal match on Tuesday morning.

This year’s squad had made it deeper into the tournament than any other Korean team since 1987.

In semifinal play, Colombia will face off against Switzerland while Spain will be pitted against Nigeria.
