Female Climber Delays Plan to Set Record

Female mountaineer Oh Eun-sun has put off plans to become the first woman to conquer the world's 14 highest peaks due to adverse weather during her ascent to Annapurna in the Himalayas.

Near the peak, Oh and her team on Monday morning decided to postpone their trek due to the strong winds and returned safely to the base camp later in the day.

Oh attempted to climb the peak on Saturday after a failed attempt on October third. She plans to make another attempt next spring.

The mountaineer will leave for home as early as October 30th.
