South Korea’s under-20 national soccer team will go head-to-head against Ghana on Friday for a spot in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup semifinals.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ghana defeated South Africa 2-1 in a round of 16 match at International Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.

It will mark the first time in 26 years for Korea and Ghana to compete for a spot in the semifinals since the FIFA World Youth Championship held in Mexico in 1983.

Meanwhile, Costa Rica beat Egypt 2-0 and Hungary defeated the Czech Republic to advance to the quarterfinals.
