Lee Chung-yong's 1st EPL Goal Lifts Bolton

Lee Chung-yong found an opportune time to score his first goal in the English Premier League.

The midfielder entered the game in the 54th minute and scored four minutes from the end as Bolton edged Birmingham, 2-1.

Lee's goal came just two minutes after Kevin Phillips had tied the score for Birmingham.

Bolton coach Gary Megson applauded Lee for his "quality finishing'' after helping set up Phillips' equalizer.

Lee played 54 games for FC Seoul of Korea, scoring eleven goals. His transfer to Bolton was made official Aug. 14 this year.

In January, the player was named as one of the top 50 rising stars in soccer by the British daily The Times, ranking 40th.
