Some of the world's top women golfers will vie for $1.5 million in prize money at the USLPGA-sanctioned CJ Nine Bridges Classic on Jeju Island this October. The event was supposed to be inaugurated last October but was cancelled because of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States. A local ocal sports company promoting the tournament said that it would be co-sponsored by Sports Today and the LPGA. Participating in the CJ Nine Bridges Classic will be 84 of the world's top golfers, including the LPGA's top 60 ranked players and 12 top golfers from both the South Korean and Japanese women's tours.
