Judoka Lee Wins World Title in Upset

Lee Kyu-won has won his first world title in an upset at the World Judo Championships in the Netherlands.

Lee beat Kirill Denisov of Russia by ippon in the men’s 90-kilogram final Saturday. The Korean was ranked 34th in the world but beat No. 4 Denisov in only 83 seconds.

South Korea has won two gold and three bronze medals in the tournament.
