The transfer of South Korean Midfielder Ki Sung-yeung to the Scottish Premier League has been approved.

Ki will transfer from FC Seoul to Celtic Football Club in January next year, after receiving the go-ahead to do so from the South Korean club.

Han Ung-su, the head of FC Seoul, said the two teams discussed transferring Ki in August, but decided it would be more beneficial for both sides to postpone it until January.

Although the two sides agreed not to disclose the transfer fee, it is expected to be about two million pounds.
