S.Korean Yang Wins 91st PGA Championship

South Korean golfer Yang Yong-eun has become the first Asian-born golfer to capture a major title.

Yang toppled the mighty Tiger Woods by three strokes at the 91st PGA Championship held in the U.S. state of Minnesota on Sunday after firing a two-under par 70. He finished the tournament with an eight-under par 280.

Prior to Sunday’s loss, Woods, two strokes ahead at the time, had never faltered when leading going into the final round of a major.

Yang’s only other tour victory came in March at the Honda Classic.
