Lee Chung-yong Makes Premiership Debut

Lee Chung-yong has become the seventh Korean to play in the English Premier League.

The midfielder went in for the Bolton Wanderers in the 68th minute, but his team lost to Sunderland 1-0 in the opening weekend of the 2009-10 season.

Lee joins fellow Koreans Park Ji-sung (Manchester United), Seol Ki-hyeong (Fulham) and Cho Won-hee (Wigan) in the league, and is also the youngest Korean to play there.

He signed a three-year deal with Bolton with a transfer fee of two million pounds. His annual salary is 1.5 billion won a year.
