Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Central Region

A heavy rain warning has been issued for the central region.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Wednesday that Gyeonggi Province saw nearly 337 millimeters of rain as of Tuesday, while Incheon saw 241 millimeters of rainfall and Seoul 181 millimeters.

The weather agency said the central region and the northern part of North Gyeongsang Province are expected to see up to 120 millimeters of more rain, while the southern regions will get some 40 millimeters more.

In addition to a storm watch, a high-wind watch has been issued for the west coast.

Weather officials forecast that heavy rain, high winds and storms are likely to remain until late Wednesday.
