Russian Space Agency on Standby for Naro's Launch

The Russian Federal Space Agency says it has concluded its technical assessment of South Korea’s first-ever space rocket and is currently on standby for the launch of the Naro.

Meanwhile, the Russian space technology firm TsNIIMASH-Export is reviewing results of the latest combustion test on the main booster of the rocket, also known as the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-One (KSLV-1). The firm holds the authority to issue a certificate allowing the launch of rockets.

The Russian Federal Space Agency said it will coordinate with Seoul a specific timetable for Naro’s launch once the space technology firm issues a launch certificate.

According to Russian scientists assisting in the project, Naro’s launch is likely to take place between August 14th and 16th.
