Rocket Launch Delayed Due to Auxiliary Pump

The launch of the nation’s first-ever space rocket Naro, or Korea Space Launch Vehicle-1 (KSLV-1), has been delayed due to “technical issues” related to an auxiliary pump.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said that Russia's Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center found higher-than-normal revolution in an auxiliary pump after a critical combustion test.

The center called for the need to check whether the deviation was due to a sensor error or a structural problem.

After further examination, the ministry will reschedule the launch date through a KSLV-I launch review committee. It was originally scheduled for liftoff next Tuesday.
