Rocket Launch Preparations Proceeding Smoothly

Ahead of launching the nation's first space rocket at the end of this month, the Naro Space Center is expected to complete a test on the tracking and control device by Thursday.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said the final check-up ahead of the launch is running smoothly, adding that the upper part of the rocket will be assembled by Saturday.

The main booster from Russia will complete inspections by Friday and will be attached to the upper part of the rocket by next Monday.

After the assembly process is complete, the rocket will be transported to the launch pad on July 28th, just two days ahead of its scheduled launch.

The launch is scheduled to take place between 4:40 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. on July 30th at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province.
