Wed. Night Sees High Temperatures

The mercury remained above 25 degrees Celsius throughout Wednesday night and high wind warnings were issued for the eastern coastal regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Wednesday night temperatures stood at 26-point-two degrees Celsius for Gangwon Province, 25-point-nine degrees for Sokcho and 25-point-four degrees for Yeongdeok, North Gyeongsang Province.

The weather agency said Wednesday evening could be categorized as a “tropical night” as the temperature remained consistently above 25 degrees Celsius, but noted that strong winds and low humidity reduced heat-related discomfort.
