The national soccer team played Saudi Arabia to a scoreless draw in a World Cup Group B qualifier Wednesday at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

South Korea had already secured a spot in the World Cup on Saturday with a 2-0 win over host United Arab Emirates, but sought to give its home crowd a good game nonetheless.

Following the loss, Saudi Arabia will have to beat North Korea to grab the group's second automatic bid for next year's cup in South Africa. The North Koreans upset the Saudis 1-0 in February.

South Korea will host Iran on Wednesday of next week in the final World Cup qualifying match for both teams.
