Seoul to publish travellers guide book for WC finals

Seoul City government said Wednesday it will release a travellers guide book on the city's top 100 tourist attractions ahead of the World Cup finals this summer.

The book will be published in English, Japanese and Chinese and will offer information on sightseeing, restaurants and shopping as well as a "things to do" list.

Officials said each version will differ slightly to suit the tastes of travellers from different parts of the world.

Tourist attractions included in all the three versions were the downtown area of Myeongdong, Gyeongbok Palace, Dongdaemun and Namdaemun markets, a changing of the guard ceremony at Deoksu Palace and a fireworks displays on the Han River. Information about traditional Korean food is also featured such as samgyetang, ginseng and gimchi.
