The government and the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will hold talks on Tuesday in Seoul to discuss bilateral cooperation in space technology.

The three-day talks come after the two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in the space sector during a summit held in August last year between President Lee Myung-bak and former U.S. President George W. Bush.

The two sides are expected to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in lunar exploration, astronaut training, space communications and other areas.

A nine-member delegation, including NASA’s assistant administrator for external relations, will be sent to represent the U.S. during the talks.
