Veteran Runner Completes Final Marathon

Veteran marathoner Lee Bong-ju has finished the Seoul International Marathon, the last in his illustrious career.

Lee crossed the finish line in two hours, 16 minutes and 46 seconds, finishing 14th. This was the 40th time he ran the entire distance of 42.195 kilometers, a rare record in the world.

Moses Arusei of Kenya won with a time of two hours, seven minutes and 54 seconds.

Lee won the 2007 Seoul marathon, and also claimed the 2001 Boston Marathon, the silver medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics, and the gold in the 1998 and 2002 Asian Games.
