South Korea has become the second most advanced nation in the world in terms of information technology.

The International Telecommunication Union surveyed 154 countries on the use of land-based and wireless phones, Internet penetration rates, and the ability to use information.

South Korea was found to have the highest number of households connected to the Internet and came in second in the number of subscribers to wireless Internet services.

Sweden topped the overall list while Denmark ranked third followed by the Netherlands in fourth. Britain came in tenth and Japan ranked 12th.
