The nation finished third in the 24th Winter Universiade in Harbin, China.

Korea won 12 gold, seven silver and nine bronze medals in the event that ended Saturday.

China topped the medal standings with 18 golds, 18 silvers and 12 bronzes and Russia ranked second.

Korea failed to retain its top spot as in the previous Universiade in Turin, Italy, in 2007, but earned two golds, one silver and one bronze in ski jumping despite poor conditions at training facilities in Korea.
