Survey : Korea's IT Prowess 90% of America's

A domestic survey finds that the competitiveness of South Korean information technology (IT) industries is 90 percent of that of the United States.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy conducted the survey on some three-thousand IT experts in 344 IT fields.
The competitiveness of Japan's and Europe's IT industries was 95 and 94 percent of that of the United States, respectively.
South Korea saw its IT competitiveness rise four percentage points in the past two years.
The United States was found to be the global leader in overall IT power while Europe excels in digital broadcasting and Japan in displays and secondary batteries.
