The International Baseball Federation made an apparent blunder in its first world baseball rankings based on various international tournament scores.

On the rankings list released on its Web site on Wednesday, initially, South Korea was listed as ranking second, after Cuba, but after a few hours, its ranking was changed to third.

The United States was moved up to second, and Japan was listed as fourth.

The federation did not explain the switch.
