A survey says Koreans’ intake of animal-based food stands at 20 percent.

According to data analyzed by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average Korean eats 1,283 grams of food, 20 percent of which is animal-based products.

The figure is six times higher than three percent 40 years ago, showing the influence of Western eating habits in the Korean lifestyle.
