A formation of planets and shooting stars is expected to be visible in the skies on the last days of this year and into the next.

According to the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute Monday, Mercury, Jupiter and a crescent moon will be visible on Monday night.

The institute added that on Saturday night, some 60 to 200 meteor showers will be visible per hour in the northeastern skies.
