The Education, Science and Technology Ministry and the Korea Research Foundation have preliminarily selected 34 themes for a project on a global research network.

Korean researchers will jointly draw up research plans with those from other countries. Such plans will then be deliberated by foreign researchers and get an evaluation online.

Twenty-three themes on theories of science and engineering as well as on art and sociology were selected for the project. Studies on the themes will be provided with one-hundred million won a year for up to three years.

Some two-hundred million won will go to research and experiment in science and engineering.
