Germany's top professional football club, Borussia Dortmund, has extended its contract with South Korean midfielder Lee Young-pyo by one year.

Dortmund on Thursday said on its Web site that the deal will be extended through June 2010.

Lee moved to Germany's top-tier league from the Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur earlier this year after signing a one-year contract that was set to expire in June 2009.
