Cold Continues to Grip Nation

The cool temperatures that gripped the nation on Tuesday will continue on Wednesday with the mercury dropping below zero degrees Celsius in most parts of the nation.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said temperatures in the central region sank to around minus ten degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning.

The weather agency forecast that afternoon highs will range between minus one to eight degrees Celsius nationwide.

The agency has issued a heavy snow warning for the coastal regions in the Jeolla Provinces and mountainous regions of Jeju Island.

The agency said sunny skies are expected throughout Wednesday while on Thursday, Seoul and the Gyeonggi and Gangwon provinces will see rain showers.
