Soccer striker Park Chu-young, playing for the French team AS Monaco, has been named the team's most valuable player for the month of October.
He ranked first with 36 percent of the votes in an online fan vote conducted by the team.
Monaco says that though Park failed to score a goal in October, his overall power and selfless play led the team's offense.
It also said Park is also an MVP candidate for November thanks to his goal during last Sunday's match with Le Havre AC.
