Korea saw the coldest weather so far this season on Tuesday with temperatures dipping below zero in some inland areas.

Morning lows include minus four-point-four degrees Celsius in Bonghwa, North Gyeongsang Province, minus three-point-eight in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, minus three-point-two in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province and three-point-nine degrees in Seoul.

The Korea Meteorological Administration reported cold air coming down from the northwest during the morning hours, but said afternoon highs will be similar to Monday.

Clear skies are forecast across the nation with dry weather continuing in eastern Gangwan Province.
