Skater Sung Wins 3 Golds in Short Track World Cup

Skater Sung Si-bak has won three gold medals at the short-track speedskating World Cup competition in Salt Lake City.

The nation’s team won six gold medals in total.

In the men’s 500-meter final, Sung came in first with 41.161 seconds, six-hundredths of second faster than Canada’s Charles Hamelin.

Sung also won gold medals in the men’s five-thousand meter relay and in the men’s first 1500-meter race.

In the second 1500-meter race, Lee Jung-su ranked first. South Korean male skaters ranked at the top in all five races.

Meanwhile, in the women’s second 1500-meter race, Shin Sae-bom raked in another gold medal for the team.
