A domestic team of scientists has developed a humanoid robot, which walks, moves arms and dances.

The team, led by Dr. Yoo Beom-jae at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, said that the robot named Maroo can copy human movements.

The team plans to upgrade the robot into one that will replace people in work.

Maroo will be displayed at a robot exhibition which will open at COEX in Seoul Thursday.
