AI Vaccine for Humans Developed

Domestic researchers have developed a vaccine for humans to prevent being infected with the highly pathogenic avian influenza.

A team led by Professor Seo Sang-hee at Chungnam National University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, said Tuesday that it developed the vaccine using a strain of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza virus that was brought into the nation with the approval of the United States and the World Heath Organization.

Mass production of the vaccine is expected to allow the nation to swiftly supply vaccines for those infected with avian influenza viruses.
