Korea Opens Military Aircraft Test Facility

Korea has opened its first state-of-the-art facility to test the performance of fighter jets, tanks and other weapons in severe climatic conditions.

The Agency for Defense Development (ADD) held an opening ceremony Monday with key government and defense officials in attendance.

The ADD plans to develop the facility into an international aviation test and certification agency by 2015, bringing Korea one step closer to becoming an aerospace industry leader.
