Soccer striker Park Chu-young of FC Seoul left for France Sunday morning to finalize contract terms for his transfer to AS Monaco.

The transfer fee is known to be around two million euros or nearly three million U.S. dollars.

Park and AS Monaco will set the contract period between three and four years.

AS Monaco is one of the most successful clubs in French soccer, with seven league titles and five French Cups.

The team has also seen success in the UEFA Champions League, making the finals in 2004.
