World's Largest Running Event Planned for Sunday

The world's largest running event will be held in Seoul and 24 other major cities around the world on Sunday.

The "Nike+Human Race" will begin in Taipei and end in Los Angeles. Seoul will be the fifth city on the race schedule.

Participants will run ten kilometers, starting at the Yeouido Park and return there to cross the finish line after going over Mapo Bridge, on Riverside Expressway and over Seogang Bridge.

Seoul Metropolitan City said about 20-thousand people will participate in the event, including Mayor Oh Se-hoon and Cha Dong-min, a Taekwondo gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The race will be followed by a music concert. More than half of the participation fee will be donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Wildlife Fund.
