Gold medalists in men's and women's archery competitions at the Beijing Olympics, Park Kyung-mo and Park Sung-hyun, will tie the knot later this year.

The two captains of their respective archery teams began to date while preparing for the Olympics. They had promised to wait until the completion of the Beijing games before announcing their intention to wed.

Park Kyung-mo said the couple received his father's blessing before he passed away in June. Park regretted not winning a gold in the individual event, but said he felt fortunate that he got the opportunity to introduce his future wife to his father.

The two Parks have combined to win a total of five gold medals in the Athens and Beijing Olympic competitions.
