Women's Handball Team Wins Bronze Medal

The Korean women's handball team defeated Hungary 33-28 to win a bronze medal on Saturday.

The bronze is the sixth medal South Korea has grabbed in its seven appearances in the Olympics.

Korea seeks two more golds Saturday in baseball and taekwondo, with just one day left before the Beijing Olympics come to an end.

After a dramatic come-from-behind win over Japan Friday, the baseball team will compete with Cuba for its first Olympic gold starting at seven p.m.

Elsewhere, Cha Dong-min advanced to the semifinals after beating Akmal Irgashev of Uzbekistan in the men's over-80 kilogram taekwondo event.

With another gold in taekwondo Friday, Korea ranks seventh overall with eleven gold, ten silver and eight bronze. It has surpassed its goal to win ten golds for a top ten finish.
