In the women's 67-kilogram competition Friday, Hwang Kyung-seon beat Karine Sergerie of Canada 2-1, giving the nation its eleventh gold at the summer Olympics.
Earlier in the day, Hwang defeated Gwladys Epangue of France 1-0 in overtime.
Meanwhile, the Korean baseball team scored a come-from-behind victory against Japan to advance to the final.
Lee Seung-yeop's two-run homer in the eighth inning broke a 2-2 tie, sparking Korea's 6-2 victory. Korea will face Cuba in the gold medal game on Saturday night.
Boxer Kim Jung-joo won a bronze medal after losing out to Bakhyt Sarsekbayev of Kazakhstan in the semifinal match of the 69-kilogram welterweight division.
