September's Forecast: Rain Showers

Next month is expected to see frequent rain showers and at least one typhoon.

The Korea Meteorological Administration released its forecast for this fall on Friday. It projected that most parts of the nation will be affected by frequent rain showers in September due to unstable atmospheric conditions. The weather agency also said the temperature next month should be higher than in September of last year.

The agency forecast that nine to ten typhoons will appear during the fall season, but only one is expected to seriously affect the nation.

Meanwhile, the weather office said that starting next year, it will no longer issue projected starting dates for the monsoon season due to the growing number of indeterminable environmental variables.
