Taekwondo Advances to Quarterfinals

The nation’s Taekwondo team is looking to grab a ninth gold medal for the nation.

In the women’s 57-kilogram preliminary round of 16, Lim Su-jeong topped Taiwan’s Su Liwen to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, the South Korean women’s handball team will face Norway in the semifinals on Thursday night.

In men's table tennis singles, both Ryu Seung-min and Oh Sang-eun will play in the round of 32. Lee Choon-huan and Nam Dong-hong will participate in the modern pentathlon.

South Korea ranks seventh after Germany in the total medal tally with eight gold medals, ten silver and six bronze.
