Korea's national baseball team has finshed at the top in the preliminary round at the Beijing Olympic Games, winning all seven games.

On Wednesday, Korea shut out the Netherlands 10-0, with the game called in the eighth inning.

Korea took the lead at the top of the first inning, as right-fielder Lee Yong-kyu's base hit was followed by Lee Dae-ho's two-run homer. The country solidified its lead with Lee Taek-keun's solo home run in the fifth, followed by an additional three runs achieved by four consecutive hits.

Korea's starter Jang Won-sam struck out seven players, allowing just four hits.
