Archer Park Kyung-mo Advances to Olympic Semifinals

In Beijing, Korea's Park Kyung-mo advanced to the semifinals of the men's individual archery competition, making it one step closer to achieving a medal.

Park beat Poland's Rafal Dobrowolski 113 to 105 to become the only Korean archer in the semifinals.

Korea's women handballers lost to Brazil 33 to 32, recording two wins, one tie and one loss in the preliminary round.

In badminton, Lee Kyung-won and Lee Hyo-jung will have a shot at a gold medal in the women's team final on Friday. Korea's individual men badminton players will go head-to-head in the semifinals while the men's team badminton players lost to China in the semifinals.
In swimming, Park Tae-hwan will compete in the men's 1,500-meter freestyle preliminary for his second gold medal in the Beijing Olympics.

Korea has won six gold medals, seven silver, and three bronze, ranking fourth in general medal tally after China, the United States and Germany.
