Korea Adds One Gold, 3 Silver Medals

South Korea's Jin Jong-oh is the gold medal winner in the 50-meter pistol event at the Beijing Olympics.

In the final held at the Beijing Shooting Range on Tuesday afternoon, Jin put up a 660.4, narrowly edging North Korea's Kim Jong-su, who took the silver with a 660.2.

In the men's 81 kilogram judo event, South Korea's Kim Jae-bum won a silver medal, losing to Ole Bischof of Germany. Lee Bae-young also won a silver medal in the 69 kilogram class of the men's weightlifting event.

In men's Greco-Roman wrestling, Park Eun-chul added a bronze medal in the 55 kilogram class, beating Iran's Soryan Hamid 2-0.

Earlier on Tuesday, swimmer Park Tae-hwan won a silver medal in the men's 200-meter freestyle event.

South Korea has so far captured five gold, six silver and one bronze medals, ranking third in total medal standings. China leads the pack with eleven golds, followed by the United States with seven.
