The women's archery team has advanced to the semifinals of the Beijing Summer Olympics, getting a step closer to its sixth straight title.

The three-member squad beat Italy 231-217 in the quarterfinals Sunday, with five of their six shots scoring a perfect score of ten.

In other sports, judoka Kim Joo-jin will compete in the men's 66 kilogram class and weightlifter Yoon Jin-hee will do so in the women’s 53-kg category.

The Korean men’s soccer team plays Italy in their second group game and Lee Hyung-taik will play a men's singles tennis match.
